KSU “Casita” Tiny Home Project
Graduate students at Kansas State University (KSU) constructed a small demonstration portable hemp structure “casita” that will be displayed around the state and country to showcase the potential of industrial hemp building materials.
The 10’ x 7’ “casita” contains different types of industrial hemp construction materials, including hemp-lime (hempcrete) wall systems, Idaho-based Hempitecture’s HempWool batt insulation and hemp flooring from Murray KY-based HempWood.
